|Marquette Relay for Life - April 2009|
Hello! My name is Carmen and I'm 26 years old. I have a passionate love for traveling, sports, music, and food. I am a generous, fun, loving, caring, and outgoing individual. My favorite thing to do is spend time with those that I'm close with, whether it's family or friends. Life is too short to be worrying about the small things - even if I am guilty of doing that every once in a while.I also have a knack for impersonations and accents. Don't ask me to do one though, I usually don't like embarrassing myself if I can help it. I like to help others that are less fortunate and often put others before myself. I am a graduate from Marquette University with a B.A. in Spanish for the Professions and Political Science. Odd, I know. I am bilingual in both Spanish and English and about 90% of my family still lives from my country of origin, Spain. I could talk for days about my adventures visiting and living there and what that country means to me. Ask me about Spain... please?
|Wedding Day - August 1st, 2010|
Believe it or not, I do have a wonderful person in my life who made the frightening decision to make me his wife, soul mate, partner. We have been together since we were 16 years old (way back in 2005) and both graduated high school in 2006. My husband left me for his mistress, the Marine Corps while I went off to Marquette to try to make something of myself. We never broke up and maintained our relationship during a 5 year contract in the USMC, two deployments, an unlimited amount of detachments and duty days/nights and a myriad of moving around. In 2009, he proposed to me after his first deployment to Iraq/Afghanistan and we were married in August of 2010. He got out of the Marine Corps in 2011, a year after we got married and it has been a roller coaster of a relationship to say the least. We now own our own home, have a little pitbull doggie, and we will hopefully be taking our honeymoon at the beginning of 2015 (thank you Marine Corps...) However, I can honestly say, I'm pretty damn lucky. Who else is willing to put up with my shenanigans?
There really isn't much to my life, aside from my husband, dog, house, and my obsession with sleep. Please feel free to contact me with questions about anything - I'm a pretty open book.
Also, please feel free to find me on these social media sites too! If you want to add me on my personal Facebook, please send me a message telling me where you found me from (since I don't add people I don't know personally) - thanks!
